NADA Ear Acupuncture
the NADA ear acupuncture protocol is a simple, powerful healing tool to bring calmness and mental and physical wellbeing.
The NADA Protocol
NADA makes use of up to 5 acupuncture points on the ear. It is often used in community settings addressing stress, trauma, addictions and general well-being.
Advantages Of NADA
Non-verbal/talk-free
No fuss, no judgement, no complicated or differential diagnosis
How It Works
NADA involves the gentle placement of up to 5 tiny needles in each ear to promote your inner calm and grounded self. Practitioners set up a quiet atmosphere for everyone to rest while sitting silently next to others in the community.
The sessions last 20-45 minutes and are very relaxing.
Know Your NADA History
The Black Panther Party and the Young Lords , together with Dr. Michael Smith, pioneered the NADA protocol in the 70’s, creating the first acupuncture detox clinic in the U.S. at Lincoln Hospital..

Join The People's Organization of community acupuncture
(POCA) is a member-run non-profit organization whose mission is to work cooperatively to increase accessibility to and availability of affordable group acupuncture treatments. We envision a world in which every community has access to local, affordable acupuncture to reduce collective and individual suffering and to nurture resilience.
We acknowledge the debt we owe, as community acupuncturists, to the Young Lords and the Black Panthers, two groups challenging racism and oppression in the 1970’s who fought to bring affordable group acupuncture into their communities to address the scourge of addiction.
